Claiming God's Truth for My Life as a Christian
I believe God when He says that this is who I am as a Christian, and I am committed to living by it.
I am a child of God, who lives and dwells within me, a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is my Teacher, Counselor, Comforter, and Guide. Therefore I am receiving the knowl-edge, wisdom, and counsel of God. Also, I am receiving His guidance for my life, and His comfort when I am sorrowful.
I am a person who is being cleansed of their sins, and who is receiving deliverance from temptations and addic-tions. I am a person of hope and faith. I know that I am for-given by God, and I am a person who is able to forgive. I am a person who is loved, and I am able to love. I have been healed, I am now being healed, and I know I will continue to be healed by God. I am growing in grace and becoming more like Christ. It is God's will for me to prosper.
I am a gifted person because God has given me spiritual gifts. Also, the fruit of the Spirit is growing in me, of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentle-ness, and self-control. God, You have also put a song in my heart, given me joy, and set me free so that I enjoy giving You praise and worshiping You. I know that I am under Your providential care and protection, and that I have a Refuge in times of trouble. I can give You all my concerns, and I know that You listen to my prayers.
I am overcoming the world and Satan, and have eternal life. I am an heir with a heavenly inheritance, and know that heaven is my final home, where I will receive my reward and share in the glory of God.
Who I am is also a person who loves God with all I am by worshiping Him and obeying Him, and especially by loving my fellow person as though they were myself.
