Daniel 1
- What is the situation of the book of Daniel?
- What do we know about Daniel the person? (1:3-6, and Dan. 10:1, Eze. 14;14 & 20, Eze. 28:3, and Mat. 24:15)
- How did the Babylonians try to make Daniel and his companions one of them? (1:3-7) How did Daniel successfully resist their efforts? (1:8-16) How have you experienced efforts to change your faith? Have you successfully resisted it? How?
- Daniel was healthier eating a vegetarian diet than other people his age who ate meat. (1:11-16) Does this mean we should be vegetarians? Support your answer with Scripture.
- Verse 17 says that "God gave" to Daniel and his companions. (1:17) Does God also want to give to you? What?
- Daniel could understand visions and dreams. (1:17) This helped him to be successful. What other person in the Bible could understand visions and dreams, and was also successful because of it? Does this mean we should ask God to be able to also do this?
