Ephesians 2:11-22
- Verse 12 says, "Remember that... you were separate from Christ... without hope and without God in the world." Do you remember how you were without God in your life? How are you now since this happened? How does this make you feel?
- Verse 14 says that Christ Jesus is our peace. Is He your peace? How? Verses 14-16 say that Christ Jesus made peace between people, including the Jews and Gentiles of his day. How does it say that this happened? Are you at peace with the people in your life?
- Verse 15 says that jesus abolished the law. In what way? How is the law still in effect today?
- Verse 15 says that Jesus wanted to create one new person (who would become known as Christians). How have you become a new person since becoming a Christian?
- Verse 18 says that through Jesus we have access to God the Father by one Spirit. How have you experienced this?
- What analogies do verses 20-22 use to describe Christians? Who does verse 20 say is the foundation of our faith, and who is the cornerstone? What effect do verses 21-22 say that Jesus should have on Christians? What does this tell you about how you should live your life?
