Joseph - Genesis 40

  1. Joseph went from the frying pan to the fire, from being a slave to being a slave in prison, in spite of the fact that he did nothing wrong. What enabled him to successfully handle the situation? What good came out of it?
    1. God allows most, if not all, Christians to have a "prison" or "desert" experience in their life. Who are some that you know of? Have you had one yourself? What good came out of it?
    2. Look up the following verses that tell us how to handle such a situation:
      Psalm 9:9-10
    3. Psalm 37:39-40
    4. Psalm 40:1-3
    5. Psalm 46:1-3
    6. Psalm 54:1-7
    7. Psalm 91
    8. John 14:1, 27
    9. Romans 8:28
    10. I John 5:4-5
  2. How was Joseph able to interpret the dreams of Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker?
    1. What other examples are there in the Bible that God speaks to us and reveals His will to us in dreams?
    2. What different ways does God do this?
    3. Dreams also reveal to us the condition of our soul. Therefore, we should try to remember our dreams, understand them, and apply our Christian faith to them. This will benefit our soul, move us forward in our faith, and give us god's victory in our life! Are you doing this!?
