Joseph - Genesis 41
- How do you think Joseph dealt with being forgotten in prison for two years? How would you have felt being forgotten in prison for two years?
- Do you think it was a coincidence that the cupbearer who knew of Pharaoh's dreams and the dilemma to solve them also knew of Joseph? How much do you believe in coincidences, and how much do you believe in God exercising His sovereignty?
- How do we see the humility of Joseph in this chapter? How humble are you? How intent are you that God receive glory through your life instead of yourself?
- Joseph not only did what Pharaoh asked and interpreted his dreams, but he went beyond that and also offered a solution to the problems they presented. Where did he get the cour-age to take such an initiative? Would you have had the courage to take such an initiative?
- After years of disappointment, rejection, and injustice, Joseph is made second in command of all Egypt. But God had prepared him by putting him in charge of Potiphar's household and then the prison he was in. Are you ready for leadership? How has God prepared you?
